Women’s health covers a broad spectrum of medical needs that evolve through the major stages of life. Kensington International Clinic, our private women’s health clinic in London, brings together specialised practitioners dedicated to caring for every woman with kindness, attentiveness and discretion. From gynaecology to fertility, through phlebology, naturopathy and aesthetic medicine, our team of specialists delivers coordinated, tailored care.
Kensington International Clinic: comprehensive women's health care in London
The female body goes through distinct phases (adolescence, reproductive years, pregnancy, perimenopause, menopause, ageing), and each one brings its own set of specific questions, procedures and medical interventions. To make women’s lives easier, we have chosen to turn our private clinic into a reference centre for women’s health, providing a tailored answer at every stage of life.
To do so, patients benefit from a multidisciplinary team able to coordinate several areas of expertise whenever the situation requires it. A woman seen for a hormonal imbalance may, for example, receive joint care from both a gynaecologist and a naturopath within the clinic. This transversal approach removes the need to shuttle between different practices and ensures consistent long-term follow-up!

When should you book an appointment?
There is no need to wait for a concerning situation before consulting one of our female health specialists in London. A regular check-up helps monitor physiological changes and anticipate potential issues. That said, certain situations call for a prompt consultation:
- Persistent or recurring pelvic pain;
- Irregular, heavy or absent menstrual cycles;
- Difficulty conceiving after several months of trying;
- Onset of varicose veins, heaviness or swelling in the lower limbs;
- Perimenopause or menopause symptoms (hot flushes, sleep disturbances, mood changes);
- Intimate discomfort or recurring infections;
- Post-pregnancy or post-termination follow-up.
Early management generally opens up a wider range of therapeutic options and improves quality of life. Our team welcomes patients seeking a preventive check-up as well as those facing more complex conditions!
Our areas of expertise in women's health
Kensington International Clinic brings together several specialists recognised for their expertise in women’s health. Each domain is entrusted to experienced practitioners trained in leading European and British institutions.
Gynaecology
Gynaecology is at the heart of our women's health offering. Dr Emily Kara, Dr Madhu Ghosh and Dr Rami Wakim deliver gynaecology consultations, routine check-ups, screenings, the management of uterine and ovarian conditions, as well as hormonal follow-up. Their clinical sensibilities complement one another, giving patients a choice of approaches suited to their expectations. They cover a wide range of topics: contraception, cycle disorders, endometriosis, fibroids, cysts, menopause, cervical smears, IUD insertion and removal, and full hormonal assessments.
Contraception
Contraception is a cornerstone of women's health and a common reason for consultation at every age. Paul Harvey, Dr Emily Kara, Dr Madhu Ghosh and Dr Rami Wakim help each patient choose the method best suited to their lifestyle, age, medical history and personal plans.
The pill, hormonal or copper IUDs, implants, patches, vaginal rings or natural methods… Every option is discussed in depth, without judgement or pressure.
Beyond the initial prescription, our team also provides ongoing contraceptive follow-up, the insertion and removal of intrauterine devices and implants, as well as adjustments to the contraceptive method in case of side effects or life changes (postpartum, approaching perimenopause, evolving parenthood plans).
Fertility
Fertility journeys are complex and emotionally demanding. Dr Rami Wakim supports women and couples in their parenthood plans, with recognised expertise in fertility consultations.
Phlebology and angiology
Venous disorders frequently affect women, particularly after pregnancy or from their forties onwards. Dr Wissem Abdellaoui and Dr Usman Jaffer deliver modern varicose vein treatments, including EVLA (Endovenous Laser Ablation), a minimally invasive technique that treats varicose veins without major surgery. Sessions are carried out on an outpatient basis, with fast recovery and minimal scarring.
Naturopathy and hormonal balance
Paul Harvey, a qualified naturopath, offers complementary naturopathy care focused on hormonal balance, nutrition and stress management. His work is particularly suited to women dealing with cycle disorders, symptomatic perimenopause or chronic fatigue.
Close collaboration with the clinic's gynaecologists allows conventional medicine and natural solutions to be combined within a holistic approach to women's health.
Aesthetic and cosmetic medicine
Dr Sultan Hussein leads aesthetic medicine consultations designed for women: anti-ageing treatments, facial rejuvenation, wrinkle correction, skincare and the management of hormonal signs of cutaneous ageing. His practice prioritises natural-looking results and respects each patient's individual features.
