A clinic designed around expertise, comfort and trusts
At the Kensington Clinic, private general practice means something more than a quick consultation and a prescription. It means time: to listen, to examine properly, to understand the whole picture before drawing conclusions.
Located in North Terrace, a short walk from South Kensington and Knightsbridge, our clinic brings together six GPs whose training spans Oxford, Paris VII, St George’s, Moscow Medical Academy and King’s College London. What they share is a commitment to medicine that is unhurried, thorough and genuinely patient-centred.
Our team consults in English, French, Russian, Arabic and Persian. Whether you are a long-term London resident, a member of the French-speaking expatriate community, or an international patient seeking quality private medical care in the city, you will find a GP here who speaks your language medically and, often, literally.

What does a private GP do ?
A general practitioner is your first port of call for most medical concerns : from acute illness and injury to long-term health management. In a private setting, the key differences are access and time: appointments available the same day or the following day, consultations lasting 20 to 60 minutes depending on your needs, and the ability to build an ongoing relationship with a single doctor.
Our GPs provide the full scope of private GP services: diagnosing and treating acute illness and injury; managing chronic conditions such as diabetes, asthma and hypertension; prescribing medication; requesting blood tests and imaging; referring patients to specialist consultants; administering vaccinations; advising on contraception and sexual health; supporting mental health; and conducting annual health checks calibrated to your age, sex and medical history.
For patients who prefer to see the same doctor at every visit, we actively encourage continuity of care. Our reception team will always do their best to book you with your preferred GP.
When should you see a GP?
Most people wait until something feels wrong before booking an appointment. At the Kensington Clinic, we encourage patients to come in regularly even when they are well: preventative screenings catch imbalances before they become conditions, and an established relationship with a GP makes every future consultation more effective.
Beyond preventative care, common reasons to see a GP include:
Persistent cold or flu, ear pain, conjunctivitis, urinary tract infection, unexplained fever...
Persistent cough, shortness of breath, palpitations...
Headaches, back pain, joint pain, abdominal discomfort, chest pain...
Indigestion, bloating, constipation, diarrhoea, acid reflux...
Rashes, moles, unexplained changes to the skin...
Anxiety, depression, burnout, sleep difficulties...
High blood pressure, diabetes, thyroid disorders, high cholesterol...
Period problems, contraception, menopausal symptoms, smear tests...
STI screening, family planning...
Vaccinations, travel health certificates, pre-departure advice...
Developmental checks, vaccinations, paediatric follow-up...
following a procedure, vaccination or change of medication...
If you are unsure whether your situation warrants an appointment, call our reception team: they will advise you honestly.
